HTC Copper Milliohm Probe, TL-4

HTC TL-4 Copper Milliohm Probe-Red&Black is designed to measure the resistivity of conductors, insulation, and semi-conductors up through 100 ohms. Its most common use is as a continuity tester, measuring the presence or lack of a current path (a connection) between two points in an electrical circuit. The TL-4 features an automatic power on/off function, so you can set it down and pick it up at any point without turning it on or off. This saves time and prevents the possibility of having the probe accidentally come in contact with the circuit under test when powering on and off. It can test the resistance of any material or circuit in tenths of milliohms and has a maximum length of 5 meters.

The probe's tip is made of pure copper, and though it looks sharp, it feels soft and comfortable when touching your skin. The connector at the very end is gold plated and can be attached to any standard multimeter or oscilloscope by using the included banana plug adapter. The other end of the probe has a female RJ45 jack so that it can be plugged into any standard network cable. This tool also has applications in military reconnaissance as soldiers could easily check if they are protected from electrical currents while under bridges or near power lines.
